Launching a Brighter Future: Connected Beginnings Program Expands to Darkinjung Country with Support from Hon. Anne Aly, Hon. Emma McBride MP, and SNAICC

A woman stands at a podium speaking into a microphone outdoors. She is in front of a Barang Regional Alliance banner, which displays colorful text and imagery. Several people are seated, facing her, with foliage in the background, as they gather for the Connected Beginnings Program launch on Darkinjung Country.

Connected Beginnings The Hon. Anne Aly, Hon, Emma McBride MP and SNAICC-National Voice for our Children representative, Miranda Edwards on Darkinjung Country to launch the 42nd and 43rd sites of the Connected Beginnings program.

This vital program supports our Gudjagang from birth to school age and pregnant women with school readiness and educational outcomes to close the gap between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and non-Indigenous children.

Barang Regional Alliance will facilitate the educational reform component, and Eleanor Duncan Aboriginal Services  will coordinate the health component of the program for two sites across the Central Coast, Wyong and Gosford.

Over 2400 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children are expected to be supported through the two sites of this flagship program.

Thank you to all who attended the launch. We look forward to sharing the significant outcomes of Connected Beginnings in Darkinjung Country.
