2025 Youth Summit

On 15–16 November 2025, we proudly hosted our annual Empowered Youth Summit, held on neighbouring Awabakal Country at CRU Camp Lake Mac. The event brought together over 100 attendees, including Elders, community members, and young people.

This year’s event was another incredible success, with participants immersing themselves in cultural activities including Dance, Darkinyung Language, Cultural Identity, Art, and Weaving.

This year’s highlight was the deep focus on cultural connection and building lasting relationships to shape the future. Young people had the opportunity to experience Dance, Darkinyung Language, Cultural Identity, Art, and Weaving.

Through these cultural activities, young people were able to strengthen their cultural identity, learn to trust in themselves and amplify their voices.

A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors, facilitators, guyung minig and volunteers, and, most importantly, the young people who joined us.

We can’t wait to welcome you back in 2026 for another deadly experience. See you next year!

Play and Yarn

Come along with your gudjagang and enjoy a FREE sensory play session. We have teamed up with Mingaletta and four local shopping centres – Bateau Bay Square, Deepwater Plaza, Erina Fair and Village Central Wyong. This is a chance to come together, have a yarn and connect. It’s a relaxed space to have a chat with us about how we can support you in helping your child to get ready to thrive at school. Click learn more to find a session time near you.

NAIDOC 2025

The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy.

NAIDOC 2025 on Darkinung Country. Big thanks to everyone who showed up, helped out, shared a yarn, danced, played netball, performed and celebrated with us.

This event doesn’t happen without the energy of mob, community and our deadly crew behind the scenes.

2024 Youth Summit

The Empowered Youth Summit is the premier annual event for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people on Darkinung Country. Established in 2019, the event aims to provide an equal platform for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people from the Central Coast to voice their opinions, needs and desires.

NAIDOC 2024

Blak, Loud and Proud.

NAIDOC 2024 on Darkinung Country. An amazing day spent with our community. The sun was shining and the energy was high. We are Blak, Loud and Proud.

Events like this can’t happen without the combined support of all our Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, staff and supporters.

Children are gathered around a table, painting rocks outdoors during the NAIDOC 2024 Celebrations on Darkinjung Country. They wear colorful jackets with intricate patterns. One girl, wearing reflective sunglasses, is smiling as she paints. The sunny setting suggests a fun, creative activity possibly at a community event.
A group of 13 people stands outdoors on a sunny day, arranged in front of trees and a banner. They appear to be at the Connected Beginnings Program Launch on Darkinjung Country, with some smiling and others looking at the camera. A child in the front is holding a small plant, suggesting a community gathering.

Connected Beginnings Program

This vital program supports our Gudjagang from birth to school age and pregnant women with school readiness and educational outcomes to close the gap between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and non-Indigenous children.
